NOTES
A relative newcomer to the Federation fleet, the Falkirk-class was designed as a companion
to the aging Akira-class.  It boasts an impressive arsenal, and also serves as carrier for up to
100 tactical fighters, which can disembark via the large docking port on the bottom of the
saucer.

While the Falkirk is a common sight on the front lines during wartime, it is also a formidable
presence during peacetime, as it is frequently used as a scout ship during long range
exploratory missions.  It is expected at least two Falkirk-class vessels will be assigned to
expedition into the far reaches of the Beta Quadrant, currently slated to leave in early
2400.

In addition to its tactical capabilities, the Falkirk-class is also a capable of holding
multi-party negotiations on a limited scale, making it one of the most versatile vessels in
the fleet.
