NOTES |
Starfleet knows virtually nothing about the 8472 Behemoth. Only three such vessels have ever been observed, all of them on stardate 75379 in the Alpha Surias System on the edge of explored space. After appearing, each of the three vessels linked with 27 standard bioships to create a single, massive quantum singularity that subsequently brought an ancient Phobian Station into their realm. The vessels summarily retreated, and have not since returned. Initial estimates put the Behemoth at nearly twice the firepower of the standard bioship, however those estimates are highly speculative--and when linked to other vessels, the Behemoth's strength likely receives an exponential boost. Unlike most bioships, Starfleet believes the Behemoth was created not by the Phobians, but by Species 8472 sometime after being sealed in fluidic space. The vessel likely serves as some sort of highly advanced tactical destroyer, but lacking proof, Starfleet can only speculate on what is undoubtedly one of the most powerful vessels in the universe. |
